We welcomed Brianna Rose into the family on March 29th... I got up early to finish the wedding flowers I had been working on for 2 days; for several hours I had been having contractions that were strong enough to wake me up and I was concerned that maybe Brianna wasn’t going to wait for our scheduled C-section on April 4th. Kelly also had wedding pictures to take later that day, pre-ceremony pics at 2pm, ceremony at 3:30 and the reception following. I was working quickly to finish the flowers and Kelly was out running errands when I called him to say that the contractions were 10-15 minutes apart and getting painful… I knew I had to go to the hospital. He suggested that maybe I should just rest awhile and then I’d be okay and I tried to be calm as I explained that we were going to have a baby SOON! So… he called Ashley and she came over just as I was finishing the flower order at around 1pm and I explained the delivery/setup to her. Robyn came over and drove her and the flowers to Glendale for me… it’s the only flower order that I’ve ever had someone else set up for me; she did a great job! Luckily, my Mom was there to watch William & Lynden. Kelly hurried to get ready for his wedding, he helped pack the flowers, loaded my bag for the hospital… and we left. It was already past 2 and Kelly was late, so he dropped me off at the door to the maternity entrance and hurried off. The staff was great and I was able to get meds to keep the contractions at bay until Kelly’s wedding was done; they were planning for a 9pm c-section time and Kelly arrived at 8:45! Brianna arrived at 9:38pm, healthy and beautiful!

Yea! Welcome beautiful Brianna Rose! Joanne, I hope you are able to sleep some. I am kind of a mean mom and put my babies through sleep boot camp when they are about 1 month old. Its' totally worth it. Are you holding up ok with an additional 2 toddlers?
I sure miss and love you lots!
Love,
Jeni
